Raised in St. Martinville, Louisiana Graduated from Convent of Mercy (All girls high school) Attended UL (S.L.I. then) Worked in the Oil Industry in Lafayette for 37 years; retired in 1991. Served for 12 years as 1st elected woman police juror in St. Martin Parish in 1980. Served as President (1987-88), Vice President (1986-87), Chairman of Public Works and Industrial Park.
